State Legislative Sessions
COVID-19 has drastically changed 2020 state legislative sessions, but while most states are currently in recess, that doesn't mean amendments are dead. Quorum, ISRI's Tracking System provider, has an updated list of states still in session, states that are in recess, and any expected dates to return for regular or special sessions.
The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) provides an interactive 2020 State Session Calendar. Click on any state to view session dates, or download the information as a PDF.
State Lobbying & Gift Laws
ISRI provides its members with important information on Lobbying Laws and Political Contributions. Included is an overview of 50-state summaries of key provisions, including lobbyist registration fees, penalties, gift restrictions, and thresholds for activities that require registration as a lobbyist.
This is an exclusive ISRI member benefit for ISRI's chapter leadership, who can access the information at www.stateandfed.com; if you would like access to the materials, please contact your chapter president. If you've forgotten your username or password or would like an overview of what the guides can do for you, contact Danielle Waterfield for assistance.
