About the Mid-America Chapter

The Mid-America Chapter connects recyclers, consumers, and equipment and service providers with industry news through meetings and events designed to strengthen business locally. Our chapter also works to advocate for the best interests of our industry at both local and national levels. Meetings and social events are held to bring members of the industry together in an environment in which they can learn and grow, all while having a good time. It is no exaggeration to say that many ISRI members’ closest business relationships began at the chapter level. To learn more about the work of our chapter and how to get involved, please contact us.

Our Value Proposition includes:

  • Members receive discounts and reduced registration rates, as well as access to member-only events throughout the year. The chapter hosts a number of events ranging from golf tournaments, sports outings, networking events, to dinners.

  • Mid-America Chapter hosts an annual Consumers Night Banquet that provides the single

greatest networking event in the country. Over 1,000 attendees including national and international consumers, processors and suppliers convene in St. Louis every February to build business, tap into connections, grow careers and share knowledge in a single venue.

  • We provide leadership opportunities within the chapter such as serving on our board of directors, participating on a chapter committee, or serving as an officer.

  • Chapter dues assist with supporting lobbying efforts – we provide members with a voice at both state and federal levels and proactively work to educate and inform elected officials about our industry and address issues as they arise.

Our Chapter provides philanthropic outreach to law enforcement in large urban areas that fall within our chapter boundaries. Our grants fund officer training and provide support for families of officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. The Mid-America Chapter stands with the officers who keep our communities and businesses safe.
