About the Mid-Atlantic Chapter

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter connects recyclers, consumers, and equipment and service providers with industry news through meetings and events designed to strengthen business locally. Our chapter also works to advocate for the best interests of our industry at both local and national levels. Meetings and social events are held to bring members of the industry together in an environment in which they can learn and grow, all while having a good time. It is no exaggeration to say that many ISRI members’ closest business relationships began at the chapter level. To learn more about the work of our chapter and how to get involved, please contact us.

Our Value Proposition includes:

  • Annual chapter scholarships are awarded to applicants who are dependents of an employee working for a company that is currently an ISRI member and a member of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter.

  • Members receive discounts and reduced registration rates, as well as access to member-only events throughout the year. The chapter hosts a number of events ranging from golf tournaments, outings, networking events, to dinners.

  • The chapter hosts an annual Golf Outing and Oyster Roast bringing together buyers and sellers across various regions. The event offers an opportunity to network with over 250 fellow industry professionals.

  • Geographically relevant membership base supporting essential state lobbying efforts tackling unique issues within each state. The chapter also proactively informs members about activities and issues from neighboring states.

  • We provide leadership opportunities within the chapter such as serving on our board of directors, participating on a chapter committee, or serving as an officer.

In coordination with ISRI’s Safety Department, the chapter provides its members with regular opportunities to access resources as well as participate in safety classes and individualized training.
