ISRI’s 2023 Shredder Operations and Safety Forum is coming to Atlanta in one month, Oct. 25-27. The day-and-a-half event is designed for those involved in handling material, conducting maintenance and other daily, “hands-on” activities that are essential to operations at shredder facilities. It is also for those who want a better understanding of these issues, their challenges and their safety aspects.
The Forum features experts discussing important daily and recurring activities for efficient and safe shredder operations. Experts will offer real-world knowledge that participants can take back and implement within their operations. Individual sessions focus on:
- Maintenance planning, scheduling and safety.
- Conveyor maintenance and safety.
- Maintenance shop organization, spare parts theories and safety.
- Electric motor and electric component maintenance and safety.
- Feedstock inspection measures and feeding methods, practices and safety.
- Hydraulics, maintenance and safety.
- A wrap-up of the Forum.
Participants also have an opportunity to network and build relationships with other attendees. There are also optional complementary activities, available on a first-come, first-served basis. A tour with SA Recycling is available to 100 participants, as well as participation in the Hazard Recognition: Fire Safety and Prevention in Recycling course available to 50 participants.
