On December 14, 2018, ISRI’s Transportation Safety Director Commodor Hall attended the FMCSA Our Roads Our Safety (OROS) Partnership Meeting, which was held at the U.S. DOT Headquarters in DC. ISRI became an FMCSA OROS Partner in 2017. Approximately 15 other organizations including the American Trucking Association, American Bus Association, American Automobile Association, and NWRA attended the meeting, and several others participated by phone. During the meeting FMCSA’s Administrator Raymond Martinez talked about the OROS accomplishments for 2018 and planning for 2019.
The Our Roads, Our Safety campaign supports FMCSA’s mission of reducing crashes, injuries, and fatalities involving large trucks and buses. As part of this effort, FMCSA partners with other organizations to educate all drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians on the importance of sharing the road. Together we can make a difference and improve road safety for all.
