Megan Quinn,
Scrap’s reporter/writer, won a Silver Award in the Excel Awards competition for her article “Protecting Cargo on the Truck,” which appeared in
Scrap’s September/October 2015 issue. Quinn won in the Magazines: Feature Article category for publications with circulation of 10,000 recipients or fewer. AM&P, the association for association publications, sponsors the Excel Awards competition.
In addition, Adam Minter, a longtime
Scrap freelance writer, won a Bronze Award in the Azbee Awards competition for his article “Continental Shift” on Africa’s e-recycling market, which appeared in
Scrap’s May/June 2015 issue. He won in the Feature Article—General Interest category (Mid-Atlantic region) among publications with less than $3 million in annual revenue. The American Society of Business Publication Editors sponsors the Azbee Awards competition.
