Palooza

It’s time to register for the PSI Chapter’s annual industry party and scholarship fundraising event!

This year’s event—slated for Oct. 23, 8 to 11 p.m., at Lucky Strike Chicago—will offer networking, socializing, and fun, including 12 bowling lanes for a 12-team tournament; ping pong, billiards, and a lounge area with snacks; and a private bar (wine and beer only; two drink tickets per registrant).

Registering is EASY this year thanks to our new online forms—no more manual forms to fill out and return! So register NOW!

If you’d also like to be a PSI Palooza sponsor and support the chapter’s scholarship fund even more there are a number of options from which to choose.

Aside from its focus on fun and networking, PSI Palooza’s purpose is to raise funds for PSI’s academic scholarship fund. The event will raise money through registration fees and sponsorships, so look for announcements about those opportunities on the PSI website and in your e-mail inbox soon.

“The new PSI Palooza event is sure to be a great time for a great cause,” says PSI Chapter President Leonard Zeid of Midland Davis Corp. “Attendees will have fun while raising funds to support students within the PSI member family. What could be better than that?”

PSI Palooza will be held in conjunction with two co-sponsored PSI Chapter/Recycling Today Media Group events—the MRF Operations Forum (Oct. 22) and the Paper & Plastics Recycling Conference (Oct. 23-25) at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile.

The PSI Chapter has organized two presentations—one featuring Jay Robinovitz, president and CEO of Alter Trading Corp., who will speak at the MRF Operations Forum, and one featuring Brent Bell, president of WM Recycle America, who will address the Paper & Plastics Recycling Conference. In addition, ISRI President Robin Wiener will moderate an Oct. 25 panel on "How to Fix Recycling."
