ISRI Virtual Event: Preparing for Insurance Renewals

Thursday, September 3, 2020 | 1 -2 p.m.

Don't be caught off guard with insurance renewal right around the corner. Over the course of the year, many things can change that can impact your premiums. Any differences in times, vendors, operations, government regulations, customer expectations, or other alterations could change your insurance renewals. Take a few moments now to prepare could help you save in the long run. For example:

  • Meet with your broker at least 90 days before your renewal date (meeting in advance will allow you enough time to adjust to unexpected changes or premium increases).
  • Plan Your Projections. In most cases, General Liability and Workers Comp policies work off annual projections (sales and payroll). As lofty as your budget maybe, this is typically the time to be conservative.
  • If you have open claims work to get them settled and closed (open claims spell problems and uncertainty to the insurance carriers).
These are just a few points to consider. This virtual event will cover more details that you need to know to navigate the renewal process. Dan Curran the SVP & Underwriting Officer for AmWINS Program Underwriters, Inc. (which underwrites RecycleGuard), and Jerry Sjogren of EL Harvey & Sons Inc. will be guiding you through this presentation. It will be moderated by ISRI Transportation Safety Director Commodor Hall.

The event is open to all with non-members charged $195 to attend.
