ISRI Member Rose Mock Receives Special Recognition for Work with Law Enforcement

(Washington, DC) – The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) today congratulated Rose Mock, president of ISRI member Allied Scrap Processors in Lakeland, Florida, for special recognition by the Florida Sheriffs Association for “on-going support to promote better law-enforcement in the State of Florida.” She was presented with a “Gold Business Member” plaque by Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd during a special ceremony.

“Rose is a leading example of how the scrap industry can successfully partner with law enforcement to prevent materials theft,” said Robin Wiener, president of ISRI. “She is actively engaged with state and local law enforcement, legislators, and other recyclers to bring all stakeholders together and find solutions to this problem. Rose has developed innovative training programs and forums that help foster these relationships and that have become the foundation for the industry’s work in fighting theft.”

In addition to her work as president of Allied Scrap Processors, Rose Mock serves in several leadership roles within the recycling industry. She is the president of both ISRI’s Southeast Chapter and Florida Recyclers Association. Rose is also a member of Recycle Florida Today and National Association of Women’s Business Owners. She has been a strong supporter of the Florida Sheriffs Association for more than 10 years.

“Our relationship with the Mock family and Allied Scrap has been a very valuable one through the years. They support us in our mission to fight crime and help create new laws that will prevent criminals from taking advantage of others, specifically as it relates to scrap metal thefts and fraudulent scrap metal recycling. We are so grateful to this business for everything they do for us, and for the people of Polk County. Rose is a wonderful citizen, and a truly remarkable woman,” said Sheriff Grady Judd.
