The Institute for Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) Sustainability Pathways Program has an opportunity for you to get involved in the sustainability industry. We offer paid fellowship, and internship opportunities for current and recent graduates. Apply today and learn how you can make a difference with your career for the world you live in today and the one you’ll live in tomorrow.

How to apply:
Students can apply by submitting their resumes via Handshake, or through the application form on our website. Once your resume has been reviewed you will have the option of scheduling an informational session, and your resume will be submitted to the participating member companies.

Benefits
As a participant, students will:
  • Attend an orientation where they will learn about the sustainability and recycling materials industry.
  • Receive specific training designed to facilitate success.
  • Receive monetary compensation, meaningful training, and mentoring that can lead to greater career opportunities.
As a Pathways participant, you will be fully immersed in the career opportunities in the sustainability industry at one of our member companies. Picking the right discipline can be tricky, so we’ve narrowed it down to two paths: Fellowships, and Internships.
Fellowships

A fellowship is a training program in which individuals perform research and develop skills to apply in a professional environment. It is for graduating seniors and graduates within 2 years of degree completion.

Positions for the one-year fellowships include but are not limited to:

  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Economics
  • Engineering
  • Environment
  • Legal
  • Supply Chain Logistics
  • Sustainable Packaging
  • Sustainable Systems Engineerin
Internships

Full and part-time (one-year and summer) internships are for students with a minimum of one year of academic studies and 10 hours of study in their field.

Position for internships include but are not limited to:
  • Accounting
  • Communications
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Economics
  • Engineering
  • Environmental Studies
  • Supply Chain Logistics
  • Sustainable Systems Engineering
  • Sustainability
