In this newsletter, I have attempted to provide the most up-to-date and relevant information on the evolution of China’s new scrap import regulatory structure and the steps ISRI continues to take to advocate for free and fair trade and keep that trade flowing.
Our efforts to fight for the industry have never wavered especially as the industry continues to be impacted in China and now by the trade war between the United States and China. ISRI has been educating legislators and their staffs on Capitol Hill; appealing directly
to members of President Trump’s cabinet; working with the Chinese government, including through comments on various policy changes; and working closely with partner organizations throughout the recycling industry to adapt to the new global dynamics. But that is just a high level summary – please join me and the ISRI team for a Town Hall on Friday, September 14, to hear about how ISRI is fighting for you and to have your voice heard on what more ISRI needs to do to support your business.
