Information Needed for 301 Exclusion Request on Shredder Wear Parts

On July 6, the Trump Administration’s 25% import duties on Chinese imports – including auto shredder wear parts – went into effect, and now ISRI is preparing to submit a request that these parts be excluded from the tariffs.

ISRI is working closely with members of ISRI’s Shredder Committee, Trade Committee and Equipment & Service Providers Council to gather as much data as possible on the industry’s Chinese sourcing so as to build a convincing case for the exclusion – but we need the help of all our members. If your company runs a shredder operation or is an equipment and parts supplier to shredder operations, we would ask that you please consider joining our voluntary and confidential survey regarding the procurement of these parts under Harmonized Tariff Code 8479.90.94.96 from China. ISRI will be aggregating the information and submitting data that represents the industry as a whole. The survey will be emailed to member company contacts later this week.

Please reach out to Adina Renee Adler if you have any questions.
