At next week’s governance meetings, the Trade Committee will be considering an ISRI trade mission to two or three Southeast Asian countries in 2019. The opportunity reflects the growing opportunities for scrap trade in the region.
ISRI staff will present the feasibility of organizing a mission for a group of ISRI members to engage with U.S. embassy representatives, meet with local government officials, network with potential business partners, and visit recycling facilities. The relationships to be developed during the mission will have a lasting positive impact on the recycling industry and ensure sustainable trade in the future.
