The Michigan Chapter hosted two Hazard Recognition Training on February 21-22. Classes were led by Tony Smith, ISRI’s director of safety outreach and held at the Ferrous Processing & Trading Company (FPT) in Detroit.

Both classes had 35 students in attendance from the Michigan Chapter. Session topics included hazard recognition in scrap recycling, good housekeeping practices, and safety culture. A big thank you to the Michigan chapter and FPT for their commitment to safety and help in organizing these classes.
While the Susan Harwood Grant Training Program period has expired the ISRI safety team still is providing this training to all who request it. ISRI offers this and other training to all ISRI members and looks forward to working with other ISRI Chapters in providing this training.
