During the Summer Board and Governance meetings in Washington DC, the Recycling Research Foundation (RRF) approved its annual chapter scholarships to a total of 81 students from across the country and the distribution of nearly $122,000 to colleges and universities.
Fourteen ISRI Chapters participated in this year’s annual scholarship program, raising funds through golf tournaments, chapter events, and donations. Recipients were selected based on competitive criteria and financial need. These scholarships help deserving students attain their educational goals in order to succeed to their fullest abilities.
Over the past 15 years, RRF has awarded over $1.2 million in scholarships to dependents of employees of ISRI member companies. RRF operates with a mission that promotes the art and science of scrap processing and recycling through research, sponsorships, technical assistance, and educational programs for the purpose of advancing the industry.
