In a letter to all stakeholders, including ISRI, OSHA announced last week that it intends to extend the initial date by which certain employers are required to electronically submit injury and illness logs.
As previously reported, ISRI members with establishments with 250 or more employees and establishments with less than 250 but more than 20 employees were required to electronically submit 2016 Form 300A by July 1, 2017 (requirements varied based on number of employees). However, the secure website that OSHA intended to use for the submission of these recordkeeping forms has not been made available. OSHA is now proposing to extend the submittal requirements to a later date.
OSHA has not provided any additional information about the timeline for the information submittal. ISRI will let you know as additional information, including a proposed extension date, is available.
