ISRI members are encouraged to participate in the 2017 Fly-In in Washington, DC on July 19 during the Summer Board and Governance Meetings.
This is your opportunity to educate your Federal lawmakers on the significant economic and environmental impacts derived from the scrap recycling industry. Your participation will help broaden the awareness of our industry on Capitol Hill at a time when our government is looking at important issues such as comprehensive tax reform, examining trade agreements, identifying environmental policy improvements, and investing in transportation and infrastructure. These are exciting times and we urge you to speak up.
So how do you take part in this event? First, by registering for the fly-in so we know that you will be participating. Second, review the fly-in materials on the ISRI website including useful guides and tutorials to help you understand the best methods of effectively communicating with Congress. Third, join the June 30 webinar, How to Leverage Your Influence on Capitol Hill, to learn how to best schedule your appointments, review the industry issues, and ask any questions.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact Billy Johnson.
