What to Know Before You Go to ISRI2017

It is hard to believe that this time next week we will be in the Big Easy for ISRI2017! If you have not already registered, don’t worry.

There is still time to save money by doing it online beforehand. You can also register onsite for an additional cost.

For those looking to plan ahead and make the most out of their time in New Orleans, here are a few tips and tricks to start:

Registration Tips
Bring your registration confirmation with you to registration to speed up the process.  Registration will be open at the Sheraton New Orleans starting at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 22. Registration opens at the convention center at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 23.

Hint: Exhibitors and others with full registrations are encouraged to register early and avoid long lines before Monday’s reception.

While either location can print your badge, the Convention Center is better equipped to assist with Exhibitor registration. We recommend exhibitors register at the convention center.

Those holding trade show only badges can only pick up badges at the convention center beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25.

The Weather in New Orleans
New Orleans weather during ISRI2017 is expected to be delightful with highs in the low 80’s (26-28 C) and lows in the low to mid 60’s (15-17 C). While there is currently little chance of rain in the forecast, the climate in Louisiana can always produce a random rainstorm. Be prepared.

What to Wear in New Orleans
As a general rule, business casual is acceptable for ISRI convention events. ISRI’s opening night cocktail reception is typically a little dressier where cocktail attire, suits and blazers will be the norm. The ISRI2017 event at Mardi Gras World is a casual event. If you’re going out on the town, business casual should work there as well as few restaurants require jackets these days.

Bring your Badge and Photo ID with you to ALL events
Your badge is your credential throughout the convention. The barcode on the badge identifies the events you are eligible to attend. Always bring your badge and photo ID with you.
