ISRI Law Enforcement (LE) Outreach & Training Initiative
Reaches All 50 States in 2017

..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

ISRI continued to implement its materials theft strategy through extensive outreach and training activities with the law enforcement community, attending, exhibiting, and/or speaking at eight events throughout 2017. In addition, ISRI continues with its state attorneys general outreach to ensure the states’ chief law enforcement officials are aware that ISRI members are part of the solution to metals theft. At the 2017 summer National Association of Attorneys General meeting
in June, ISRI consulted with various attendees on the legal concerns with third-party electronic reporting while seeking support from NAAG on research and communicating to state AGs the implications of states contracting with private third-party vendors for data collection services.
