About the Southeast Chapter

The Southeast Chapter connects recyclers, consumers, and equipment and service providers with industry news through meetings and events designed to strengthen business locally. Our chapter also works to advocate for the best interests of our industry at both local and national levels. Meetings and social events are held to bring members of the industry together in an environment in which they can learn and grow, all while having a good time. It is no exaggeration to say that many ISRI members’ closest business relationships began at the chapter level. To learn more about the work of our chapter and how to get involved, please contact us.

Our Value Proposition includes:

  • Leadership opportunities within the chapter such as serving on our board of directors, participating on a chapter committee, or serving as an officer.

  • Chapter dues assist with supporting state lobbying efforts through partnerships with state associations who work in coordination with the chapter to address and communicate state issues.

  • We actively work to advance industry awareness and educate state legislators and other elected officials by maintaining regular dialogue around issues and trends. We also regularly extend invitations to state legislators to visit member scrap yards with a primary goal of elevating exposure.

  • Newsletters provide briefings on key issues, developments, and legislation, as well as highlight member successes and announce upcoming meetings and events.

  • Members receive discounts, reduced registration rates, and access to member-only events. We host numerous meetings and social activities throughout the Southern region that serve as a platform for peer-to-peer sharing and networking, all while building comradery. Our events range from, but are not limited to, facility tours, golf outings, pub crawls, to fishing extravaganzas.

  • The chapters annual fall convention provides our member companies with exhibiting, sponsorship, lead generation, and networking opportunities.

  • In coordination with ISRI’s Safety Department, the chapter provides its members with regular opportunities to access resources as well as participate in safety classes and individualized training at no cost to its members.

  • The chapter regularly shares innovation knowledge, industry trend analysis, and provides access to resources that give our members a competitive advantage.

  • The chapter provides annual scholarships to applicants who are dependents of an employee working for a company that is currently an ISRI member and a member of the Southeast Chapter.
