The two-day online class was developed to assist employees\, team leads\, supervisors\, plant managers\, and senior leadership in understanding haz ards associated with fires in the recycling and materials recovery facilit ies (MRF) environments. Attendees will learn ways to potentially control t hese hazards in an attempt to prevent significant fire losses.\n All levels of recycling company employees are encouraged to attend. The course is offered for two hours over two consecutive days and co-taught by a member of ISRI&rsquo\;s safety team\, alongside a fire pro fessional familiar with recycling facilities.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Fees:\n This courseis being off ered online to both ISRI and non-ISRI members. As an inci dent commander\, Kunze fought to save property and life. He saw the traged y firsthand. His passion for fire prevention was forged at those incidents . As an NFPA certified Fire Inspector-I\, he has worked in the recycling i ndustry since 2015 and has a proven track record of reducing fire risk. Ku nze recently assisted in the development of the ISRI Fire Prevention and M anagement Plan and is working with ISRI members to help them understand an d implement this plan.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \ n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Dr. Ryan Nolte\n Director of Safety Outreach\, ISRI\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ryan Nolte is the Director of Safety Outrea ch for the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI). He has 18 years of experience managing EHS programs in the recycling industry\, as well a s experience in a b rass foundry\, the automobile industry\, plastics manu facturing\, and battery production.
