The Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) represents more than 1,700 public and for-profit companies in the U.S. and 40 countries around the globe that process, broker, and industrially consume all recycled materials. ReMA’s associate members include equipment and service providers that market to the recycled materials industry. Manufacturers and sellers of equipment and services gain access to a 100% qualified audience for their products and services. Based in Washington, D.C., ReMA provides advocacy, education, safety and compliance training, and promotes public awareness of the vital role recycled materials play in the U.S. economy, global trade, the environment and sustainable development.

ReMA serves it's members through various resources:

Networking and Education

ReMA provides the forums and opportunities for you to meet your peers from all over the world whether it be at the Association’s annual meetings and events, or your local chapter meeting.  In addition to that, the Association works to provide educational opportunities to those in the industry at all levels of employment.

Market Research and Reporting

ReMA’s commodities department provides current and historical reporting on the industry, including economic impact studies, trade flow data, and other key data that helps members make informed business decisions.

Advocacy & Lobbying

ReMA represents the interests of the recycled materials industry and our members to the executive branch, Capitol Hill, and state legislatures and regulatory agencies, as well as international bodies throughout the world.  Our goal is to help you stay informed and advocate on your behalf.

Safety

ReMA is dedicated to the ideal that our workers are our most precious commodities.  We owe it to them, and to their families and our communities to provide a safe and healthful work environment.  We owe them a workplace culture of safety.  As an industry, we need to establish a high bar for acceptable behavior among our peers.

Regulatory and Legal Information

ReMA provides legal and regulatory information on matters pertaining to the recycled materials industry and tracks major trends at the federal and state level for the industry.
