About the Chicago Chapter

The Chicago Chapter connects recyclers, consumers, and equipment and service providers with industry news through meetings and events designed to strengthen business locally. Our chapter also works to advocate for the best interests of our industry at both local and national levels. Meetings and social events are held to bring members of the industry together in an environment in which they can learn and grow, all while having a good time. It is no exaggeration to say that many ISRI members’ closest business relationships began at the chapter level. To learn more about the work of our chapter and how to get involved, please contact us.

Our Value Proposition includes:

  • Providing leadership and skill development through opportunities to serve on the board of directors, as a committee liaison, or as a chapter officer – the Chicago Chapter encourages its members to become active voices and to leverage strengths that better the Chapter, the industry, and our businesses.

  • The chapter hosts numerous networking opportunities, meet-ups, and events throughout the year to encourage relationship building. We want our chapter members to feel personally connected to their industry peers as well as to the work of the chapter, and in support of that, we create opportunities to build comradery. Our events range from annual golf-outings, happy-hours, fundraisers, boat cruises, to community work.

  • Chapter members receive discounts, reduced registration rates, and access to member-only events throughout the year.

  • The chapter provides annual scholarships to applicants who are dependents of an employee working for a company that is currently an ISRI member and a member of the Chicago Chapter.
