Vice President of Finance

The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. (ISRI), a $16 million trade association representing more than 1,500 companies that process, broker, and consume scrap commodities, including metals, paper, plastics, glass, rubber, electronics, and textiles, is seeking a Vice President of Finance to oversee the financial operations of ISRI and to create an office that provides timely and accurate information and sound advice on all aspects of the association’s financial functions. Responsibilities include maintaining the general ledger financial reporting system for ISRI and its affiliates; preparing timely financial reports; managing accounts payable, receivable and reconciliation associates; scheduling the annual budget process with the President; scheduling the annual audit with outside auditors; working with investment advisor to implement ISRI Investment Policy; providing training for new Chapter Treasurers each year; overseeing Information Technology department; and managing financial aspects of Association Management System (AMS).

A CPA or MBA and 10 years of experience are required.  Other requirements include strong communication skills, good writing, ability to present oral reports in a clear, practical and concise manner; familiarity with Dynamics SL or other mid-level accounting software; advanced MS Excel abilities; mid-level MS Access abilities; familiarity with association management systems and database queries; and experience in project planning.

Director, Recycling Industry Operating Standard™ (RIOS™) Program

The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. (ISRI) is seeking a bright, energetic individual who likes growth opportunities to direct and build the recycling industry’s premier QEH&S Management System known as RIOS™. Candidates for this position should be smart, confident, aggressive communicators willing to manage the program’s advocacy, marketing, outreach and education efforts.
