The annual ISRI Transportation Safety Awards reflect the value and importance that the industry places on vehicle safety, by recognizing the top performers in the field, both at the company and individual levels. All ISRI members are eligible to apply in each of the following four categories:
- The Best Fleet Awards is presented to the ISRI member with both the lowest vehicle accident rate and the lowest DOT severity rate for the calendar year 2013 in each of four classes, determined by size. First, second and third place trophies are awarded in each class.
- The Pacesetter Awards is granted to the ISRI member with the best 36-month accident record in each of four classes, determined by size. Winners (First Place only) are awarded trophies in each class.
- The Driver of the Year Award is awarded to the commercial vehicle driver with the best 20-year driving record, with the minimum qualification being no at-fault accidents during the driver’s entire career. First, second, and third place trophies are awarded to the finalist. The winner receives $500, a trophy and leather jacket, and a trip to ISRI 2014 Convention and Exposition.
- The ISRI Golden Wrench Award (new in 2014), is given to the best heavy vehicle maintenance technician or manager who exhibits outstanding efforts, achievements, and contributions to ensure that commercial vehicles are safe on the road. First, second, and third place trophies are awarded to the finalist. The winner receives a trophy and a trip to the ISRI Convention and Exposition.
All entries for the 2013 calendar year are due by March 7, 2014
