Annual Congressional Fly-In
– The ISRI Fly-In will take place on July 23rd
this year and focus on members of our “key” committee with jurisdiction over our priority issues. We will again address the issues of metal theft and electronics recycling and trade. We have addressed both issues over the past several years along with illustrating the scrap recycling industry’s role as a commodity producer and the significant impact on the nation’s economy while helping to protect the environment and conserve natural resources. Furthermore, the scrap recycling industry employs over 138,000 workers throughout the country resulting in good jobs that help our communities and our nation. Come raise your industry’s voice on Capitol Hill and make sure Congress knows we are an industry that is fully committed to helping combat metal theft by working closely with law enforcement and firmly believes in free and fair trade while ensuring the protection of the environment and worker safety through strict international standards.
